Soil Preparation:
Choose well-drained, loose soil rich in organic matter. Avoid compacted or rocky soil to allow roots to develop smoothly. Soil pH should be between 6.0 and 7.5.

Planting:
Sow seeds directly into the soil at a depth of 1–2 cm. Space seeds 5–8 cm apart in rows 30–40 cm apart. Beets do not transplant well, so direct sowing is recommended.

Watering:
Water immediately after planting and keep the soil consistently moist, especially during germination. Avoid overwatering to prevent root diseases.

Sunlight:
Beet plants grow best in full sun but can tolerate partial shade, especially in warmer climates.

Thinning:
When seedlings reach 5–7 cm tall, thin them to leave 8–10 cm between plants. This ensures proper root size and uniform growth.

Fertilization:
Use balanced fertilizer or compost. Avoid excessive nitrogen, which promotes leaf growth over root development.

Harvesting:
Beets are ready to harvest 50–70 days after planting. Harvest when roots reach 5–8 cm in diameter for the best flavor and texture. Young leaves can be harvested earlier for greens.
